That’s no easy feat when you’re a twelve-year-old stranded at a gas station in the middle of desert with nothing but your eight-year-old little sister who seems to always be on the verge of throwing a world-class tantrum. It doesn’t take long for Liberty to realize that this was no mistake.Īs the oldest, it’s up to Liberty to make sure that she and Billie find their way back home. Billie is convinced that he went to get them ice cream since it’s so hot outside. Their dad is used to being on his own so surely he’ll come back once he notices they aren’t there. At least they were until they find themselves left behind at a gas station.Īt first the girls see it as just a mistake that they were left behind.
